Dad just informed us that the plant that he works at is laying most of them off next month and it will be closing for good in October. So he will need to look for a new job soon and he has been working there for over 20 years.

I feel for you. I had to buy a new laptop as my one of five years crapped out on Saturday. Wasn't ready to have to buy a new one, but I definitely need a computer for school and such. I can't believe how much is done in school by e-mail these days.

I ended up not having the surgery today, because he did n't want to do the surgery in his office. He would of had to give me a series of shots to numb the area that its in and the tumor is in a very sensitive area, so he thought it would be to painfull for me. So we schedulled it for September 24th in the surgery center here in town. He thought having it done there would be better because they can put me under the anastetic so I won't feel anything while I'm having the surgery.

My surgery went well today! It took them longer to get me in because they were really busy and having complications with the patient that was before me but It did finally get done.

Once they got the tumor out they stapled everything shut and they gave me vicatin for the pain. I'm just glad that I can finally eat and drink again,lol.

Hopefully the bleeding stops soon!

Wow, so many changes in the last little while...

We're getting ready for my son to start regular school in just over 4 weeks... I can't believe he's old enough (and ready) to go... I'm getting OLD!!! :eek:

A new story I'm working on... In between taking care of the house, my son and the furry friends that is... It's not exactly coming along as well as I had hoped it would but it's coming along anyway. :rolleyes: I just hate the brick wall known as Writer's Block, I'm generally splattered all over it so much of the time!!! :lolsign:

I lost my beloved cat, Birdie about 2 months ago... :( She was 20 years old and had lived a long, healthy and loved filled life, but I miss her terribly. Thank the stars for three other cats living here, they've really helped me out by bringing me out of my grief with their silly antics.

Anyway, it's time to shut my yap and get back to work... :D

Cats do not like the scent of citrus fruits... Maybe soak the areas it does its business in with cleansers scented with orange, lemon and limes. Using orange, lemon or lime peels will help keep the cat away from any area that you don't want it to go.

I've used the same method to keep our Siamese from eating my houseplants... It seems to work.

We buried Nanny yesterday... It was a hard thing to do... But we will be okay, she's no longer in pain and she is happy, whole and with those who have passed before her.

We had what Nanny called "fishing weather" yesterday... Sunny, warm and with a good breeze. The kind of weather that was Nanny's favorite. It was almost as if she had asked for us to have the weather so we would think of her and smile instead of cry.

I just wish the world would stop spinning so fast right now...It's making me dizzy...

The ignorance of some people just makes me laugh!! I was out walking and someone yelled "dumb lesbian" at me from their car window. Seriously!!!Just because a girl likes to keep their hair short doesn't mean that she is automatically a lesbian. Please excuse me for still being a virgin and for not going around jumping everything that moves!

Somebody is obviously insecure in themselves. I know who I am so it doesn't really phase me anymore:) At the end of the day they are the ones who will be feeling bad!

Julie, if I could give you rep for your post, I would.

I have so many female friends who have short hair... And not one of them are lesbians. The friends I have who are lesbians or bisexuals have long hair.

So anyone who thinks that all females who have short hair are lesbians need their heads examined, in my opinion. ;)
