Thoughts on the Law Suit
I wanted to post this in a new thread because the last one was really long, and to be quite honest, I didn't read it all, so this may be rehashing what was already said. If this is the case, simply ignore this post.
--- To those who say that they didn't get what they paid for, including Lechium: You cannot compare a entertainment's duties to that of a service person's. With a plumber, you are paying for a service to be done. If he fails to perform that service, then by all rights you are entitled to your money back. With entertainment you get what you get. If it's not entertaining to you, then you move on. Think of this analogy: You pay $250 a ticket to go to a Green Bay Packers home football game. The team plays horrible; receivers don't catch passes and the kicker misses all of his fieldgoals. Should I then sue the Green Bay Packers because they failed to perform to MY standards? Here's another analogy if the above doesn't work for you: A WWE wrestler (who is by all accounts an entertainer, just as Creed is an entertainer) arrives at the local venue for the wrestling show drunk. When it is his turn to go out and wrestle, he comes out drunk, grabs a mic and attempts to talk - slurring his words and stumbling all around. Officials force him to return to the locker room and not wrestle that night because of his condition. Now, should I sue the WWE because this wrestler didn't perform his duties to MY standards? And just to let you know, this has happened in the past (however no one sued the WWE). Again, who is to judge whether or not a band's performance is worth the price of admission to the show? I understand that fans do not purchase tickets with the expectation that the band will come out and play a sloppy show, however anything can occur. If you are that upset over the quality of the show, then refrain from supporting the band again. Do not attend any more of their shows. If this lawsuit goes through the court system, and ends up being successful for the plaintiffs, the whole entertainment industry will suffer, not just Creed. This could start a whole series of suits simply because fans "were not satisfied" with the performance they initially paid for. Putting Creed aside and looking at the bigger picture, this suit should be dropped immediately, if not by the plaintiffs, then by the courts.

Do you think, Steve as someone mentioned before that Creed is held to higher standards thatn other bands because of their unwanted christen band image??
I think they are and that is why the plantiffs feel partly justified in filing this lawsuit, what do you think??

I think that because of the way the media has portrayed Creed, everyone assumes they are "holier than thou" and thus should not be getting bar-room fights, coming out drunk, etc. Because of the widespread media portrayal of Creed, the music fans across the world have developed that higher expectation of Creed.
Actually the band has sort of brought this on themselves as well though. Stapp always mentioned that the band is spiritual (not religgious). Because he made this claim (which is justified), people including the media have twisted his words around and used this to make Creed be a "Christian band." Stapp should have simply said "We are not a religious band" and leave it at that. All that matters now though is what we as individual fans think regarding this issue. We all know here that Creed is not a religious or Christian band.

Here's another thought. Had Creed just thrown in the towel after the first or second song because Scott was too messed up to go on, I could possibly see a refund. But the entire set was played. It may not have been GREAT, but it was an entire set. I'll say it again, when I saw them at the Meadowlands, Scott's voice was strained just as it was for the Olympics show. You could obviously tell Scott wasn't at his best but he went on with the show, just as they did in Chicago. If they did NOT do the entire set, I'd say that the 'refund-demanders' have a point. But since the show must (and DID) go on, they should move on with their lives.

I don´t think so, Lithium! more than manager, he´s a friend of the band!
no futher comments, except my definition of Creed (about this matter): not a Christian band, not a Gospel Band, but a band that deals with spirituality issues in some (most?) of their songs.

Why would Jeff Hanson be fired? None of this was his fault. If you had to name names, wouldn't the tour manager be at fault? (as far as I know, Jeff is not the band's tour manager, he's the "manager")
Also as was said, Jeff is a friend of the band's. I seriously doubt that the band would turn their backs on Jeff. He helped make Creed who they are today.
