Creed canceled the remaining 20 dates of their North American Weathered tour Monday due to a recent car accident involving singer Scott Stapp, a label spokesperson said. On April 19 around 1:40 p.m., Stapp was driving a Cadillac SUV on Interstate 4 in Florida and was struck from behind by a Ford SUV when traffic suddenly slowed, according to an Orlando Police Department accident report. The officer on the scene estimated there was $1,000 worth of damage done to Stapp's vehicle and wrote that there were "no injuries noted."

"The reason the tour has been canceled is Creed must err on the side of caution," the band's spokesperson said. "From the accident, Scott has been checking with specialists in regard to his neck and back to find out how much physical therapy might be needed to get him back to feeling good. Once we have an idea how much recovery is needed, that�s when we�ll know when we can go back on tour."
