Soldier's Last Day
Thumps, footsteps, voices, murmers
Breaths reethe on, time endless, Hearts surround and hold in the time of rejoice. Love is pleasant and hatred unruly. I pull out my weapon and prepare to aim. I see the opposite soul- Living, breathing, has memories, has places to go and things to do. I creep closer, quiet, boundless, nerves rattling, blood pumping ludicrously. One- Two- Three-, My aim is right on my target. A shriek more propsterous then this world. Escape. -I saved the enemy. In return his reflexes put a metal shard in my heart. So much for saving souls- Lost and gone-forever. Thumps, footsteps, murmers, And breaths reethe on anyway.
