Both bands you mentioned are highly commercial. Manson is not underground, but not as commercialized as these two. Also he's less appealing to mass audience, that's why getting to #1 even for a week for him is bigger deal than for bands you mentioned. 2StappsSaviour: how? He has much bigger fan base than you might think..

Same here Jen. Just my opinion Leech, don't get all pissy on me. Not trying to jump on your case.

creed is not commercial. If so, they wouldn´t be so hated. But I admit Weathered is much more radio friendly than the others, with lots of commercial appeal.
The problem is that if they had released Bullets and Weathered here, people would have a different opinion about them, more close to reality.

manson, to me, is more commerical than Creed...just because he uses shock and mtv to sell albums

1) creed is a commercial band. They write catchy straightforward songs, they alwasy show their singer with no shirt to attract female audience, and all the things like that. Commercial does ot menqa bad, so stop denying the obvious.
2) Manson is somewhat commercial, yes, but to much lesser point. Most big bands use mtv/vh1 to promote (creed doesnt? rrrright) so there's nothing wrong there. His aesthetics scrare lots of people away, thus he's not highly commercial by no means. P.S. Teri you'e hurn my feelings. Big time. I'll chainsaw your legs off now. There is no other way, sorry. lol

By writing catchy, straight-forward songs doesn't make them commercial. By showing Stapp with no shirt on, in my opinion, is not a way to attract a female audience. Sure it probably helps, I won't deny that, but (even though I'm not into guys) I'm sure there's better looking guys out there than Stapp. He does it because he's comfortable doing it. There are many other bands that do things to attract people to them. Doesn't Manson do some pretty freakish things to attract people to him? I admit, I do like some of his songs, but the appeal he puts behind them with his stage antics really don't impress me. I prefer the songs to be more "straight forward" like Creed's. Now, this is just a suggestion but, there is a lot of contraversy over Manson, especially lately with that case about him rubbing his butt on a security guard at a show, or something like that... but anyway, do you know what happened to the Dixie Chicks' album sales when they said that stuff about Bush? Their sales went up, and put them higher on the charts, because people were buying their albums and other merchandise so they could burn it. I wonder if the same type of thing is going on now? Even if it is, there is, I know it doesn't change the fact that he gets positive recognition from his record company. Just my . H-D

2Higher_Desire: I check Billboard charts every week, and trust me Dixie Chicks album plummeted after their anti-Bush stement.
Also if creed's not commerical rock band than who is? Really. And Manson rubbed hsi crouch on sequirity guard like 3 years ago, so it's not "latley" and by no means it was a publicity stunt. Manson acts freaky to attract attention, yes, and also cuz he's trying to link visual and audio aspect of his music... he's really an experiemntal guy, and that's what I respect him for. 2JenRN: Euro humor kicks American's humour ass lol Is only type humour you can handle are sex jokes from Friends and such?

Lechium..... Europeans have a dry, boring, brittle sense of humor sorry.
Actually I am a damn funny individual, I have a lot of friends who all we do is laugh about any and everything, I just find it interesting I guess that you are so touchy. Some things I find funny and some things I find just plain disrespectful and ignorant, this is how I view Manson, he is a jackass
