Something to ponder...
Whatever happens to all the Championship gear that gets made for the losing team in the SuperBowl, World Series, NBA Finals, and all that? You know they've got to make it because the shopping network sells them the second the game ends and the winning team gets thier stuff and all. Do they burn it or something? Seems like a big waste. Or is it possible that they either make really good guesses as to who will win, or is there a pre-determined winner?
I think it'd be really cool to own championship gear for a team that never won the championship. Afterall, they were made by children just like me for only a few pennies. H-D

I think they shred it, destroy it completely. I remember over a decade ago when St. Louis was hoping to get one of the two franchises the NFL was going to award (which eventually went to Charlotte, NC and Jacksonville, FL). They had the team name (Stallions, I believe... or something to that effect) and colors (purple and gold... yuck) picked out, and had all the merchandise ready to sell in stores the moment the NFL announced St. Louis would get a team. Fortunately (hindsight is 20/20), they didn't. But I remember seeing on the news or in the paper that all that stuff had to be destroyed before anyone could get their hands on it.

I wonder the same thing aboot the big Victoria Secret posters they have up during sales, etc. I called one store one time, but they said they throw them away, and won't give or sell them to anyone. But Lane Bryant will give theres away
