Great Idea!

Were do we send the cards to what address?

creedfan47a 12-04-2002 08:14 PM

I just sent my message. Funny, I was just thinking last night that I had read somewhere that Scott and the guys sometimes check out fan sites. I thought that if we were lucky enough, they might check out this forum and would see all the posts showing our concern for their well-being! Great idea, VelocityIDP.

Yes! What if we were to widen our care and support, and send out appreciation to the whole band for all their passionate tours this past year! A great big THANKS FOR ROCKING OUR SOULS in 2002! Maybe the focus on all the problems and just Scott, is too narrow, presumptious and less well received. Just a thought. I know how I feel about pity. What if we are overreacting and reading into things too much? Maybe it would be better to blast them with our unconditional love, support and gratitude! A line like, "You guys kicked ass in 2002, now take a break in 03", well - I am not the poetic one here...;)

<b>"You guys kicked ass in 2002, now take a break in 03"</b>

That kind of poetic beauty just brings a tear to my eye. Absolutely beautiful!!:crying: :D

Teri, you're killing me, as usual! SD is right, though, it should extend to the whole band. I as much said so in my message to them. Mark did lose his mother this year, so his year hasn't been a bed of roses, either.

Yeah, that's it DS!"Roses are Red Violets are Blue, Creed stood strong in 2002, now let them take a friggin rest and have a brew!" OK.., not much better, eh? Teri, was that sarcasm? Why don't you have your daughters write up something.

Dogstar 12-05-2002 02:10 AM

LMAO, SD....I like the brew part:D !

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the many replies on this board. So far, on the website, over 78 people have responded -- and that's just one 24-hour period!

And I have taken some of the posts into consideration. While I still think it is better to show direct and specific support for Scott rather than indirect support for his organizations, I do agree with those who wanted me to re-write the first paragraph.

It was sounding a little tabloid-esque, and that's not my intention. I've heard many very detailed and specific reviews from people regarding Scotts current state on stage -- and I felt justified in starting up this little page.

As fans, we noticed a change in the way Scott has been performing, and judging by some of the things he's said, he's having a rough time. It is NOT our place to assume things and nose around in his family life, but I think it is good for us to show that we're with him in whatever is giving him trouble. We just want to show a bit of support.

My intentions, and the intentions of the people that are writing in -- are nothing more than dedicated Creed fans trying to meet a need.

Please keep forwarding my initial post around! We're getting a great turnout, and I hope it keeps up at this pace!

The best the girls would be able to write is "Creed's da best!" But that would probably do just fine! And I love the new poetry! I'll gladly buy you and the guys a brew!!

Thanks for the kind words and warm welcome, hotforscott! I really appreciate it. I'm also happy to have a place to express my love and appreciation for this band. In a relatively short period of time (this past spring), they've helped make my life better when I'm feeling good and when I hit the rough spots.

souldancer 12-05-2002 07:48 PM

I know what you mean - and great music draws great people! Welcome and the red carpet is being rolled out for you...

franrn 12-06-2002 09:05 PM

I think this is a great idea.:) I hope we hear a response from the band .:D This is what they need is a good dose of support and love from the people they know who love them:)

An excellent idea.

Your observations raise an interesting point: I wonder if this might mark something of a dark period for Creed and their music?
