I don't have a problem with the media publishing the cartoons and I don't have a problem with the media publishing photos of abuse in Aub Ghraib, the same applies to pictures of beheadings by the resurgents.
I do have a problem with the media self-censoring for the fear it would piss off someone. If it is news, publish it. The media has a job to do and cannot be held responsible, if others react upon publication by killing people. The people who kill are to blame, not those who publish news (or cartoons).

Yes...your position in the two cases above isnt contraditory, but I cant say the same about Chase's position... But I also think that if media has a job to do so need to do it with RESPONSABILITY ... Id like to continue commenting in this thread, but I neeed to go to work...btw..Im too late

Well I'm off work now, I'm going to eat a bite of greek food in a Polish restaurant over the border in Germany.
Later tonight foosbal competition and in the rest of the weekend I have some pre-carnaval-events planned like aowwieverbal (oldwifesball) and stuff. My homePC crashed a week and a half ago and is still being repaired, so I'll be back on monday.

These are two completely different topics. One, is newspapers publishing political satire... the other is the media rehashing the same old story for biased reasons. Explain why they RARELY release videos, or pictures of the disregard for humanity that these terrorists have. If the media truly cared about news... they wouldn't give into all of the same sensationalism. |

Yes...media is exploiting these "new" images obviously to provoke a reaction in Muslim world and of course t o sell 'newspapers' and to get TV audience...but they are still true..and btw seems that America wants to forget... Off topic (?)...Last night I saw Munich-Spielberg and believe me its an 'amazing' and impressive movie...
