I have been playing guitar for 9 months.  I have an olympia acoustic and  Fender Mexican Strat in Midnight blue

...... honesty, in 9 months a pro guitar player couldn teven REMEBER all those songs.

In 9 months a guitar player taking lessons every DAY wouldnt be able to do that.

just because you have a lack of talent it doesn´t mean you have to bash the others... you should learn a lil bit more about respect.

If you dedicate and have a good teacher, you can play really well in 9 months.

i'm sorry if my post offended you, but i'm not lying, it's not in my character.

When i first started guitar i played everyday non stop because it was in a period where i was moving and i had nothing else to do except for learn tabs, so i focused on creed songs (with lessons as well).

It was definately a challenge to learn all those songs and remember all the parts, but with time it becomes almost like second nature.

All it takes is practice. I absolutely understand people can't spend every waking moment on guitar, but for 6 of the 9 months, i had absolutely nothing better to do besides hang out with some friends, but usually they were busy so i'd just sit down with my guitar and play until my fingers bled. I dont' play quite as much now because of school, but i usually get about 4 hours of practice in each day.

Again i'm sorry if this confuses you or offends you, i did not mean to start a bashing/flaming thread, i only thought i'd share my experience since that is what this thread is about.

and also i took lessons before i moved on basic chords and such, but for about 7 months out of those 9 i was self taught, all the creed songs i learned i taught myself because my teacher was a hardcore blues fan and didn't care for creed.

My new one is more understanding, but he doesn't teach me songs, i'm learning how to solo from him (improv)

anyway, I don´t know who he is... and Charlie Brown´s soul is Marcos, he´s one hell of guitar player too.. Thiago didn´t make much difference... IMO, Marcos is the best Brazilian guitar player nowadays
[/b]

Marcos is one hell of a guitarist, but you've got to remember that in the first 3 albums all the solos were made by Thiago, and I, as a die hard CBJr fan sure miss his solos... but again, I guess it's just a matter of who you like the most...

I believe Rune, cause if you try really hard you can learn anyhting, it's just a matter of practice, in 6 months of guitar I already knew half of my creed songs, Purple Haze by hendrix, Stairway to Heaven and a lot more tohers songs that my friends said that were impossible to play, but like him, I did practice a lot, unlike my friends who didn't practice at all...
