Jen...give the stuff you bake to your friends. They will love it! I don't have a significant other, and I just love baking. I don't even eat what I make most of the time. I just love giving it to other people. Also, you could take something you bake and maybe donate it to a food bank or a soup kitchen.

Yeah Last year I baked up a storm and took it to an old folks home, they loved it! I do bake for my friends alot, and I have gotten some requests already from the doctors for some of my famous cookies..... they don't deserve it though. To me there is just nothing better than showing someone you love them with a nice meal and great desert.

That's what I do every year. I bake several different recipes and give them out to the neighbors as gifts, bring them into work, give them to my husband to bring into work. Now every year at my office Christmas party I am expected to bring my Pear Custard Bars. This year I have to make 2 batches of them because the last few years they disappeared too quickly.

You can bake for me too, Jen. Like Steve, I'd appreciate it. Coming in here and reading all of this is making me hungry this morning. Some of my favorite things to make for the holidays are - Chocolate chip cookies Shortbread cookies with butter cream frosting on the top Peanut Butter cookies with the Hershey kiss Chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips Probably my favorite thing to make because it brings back wonderful memories of my grandmother is Red Velvet Cake. She used to make it every year and I always looked forward to it. She topped it with butter cream frosting and it was the BEST.

My baking usually consists of the following:
1) Choc. chip cookies 2) Magic cookie bars 3) No-bake fudgy oatmeal cookies (more like a candy, really) 4) Peanut blossoms (peanut butter cookies with a kiss) 5) Russian Tea Cakes 6) Nana's Butter Cookies 7) Shortbread cookies 8) Fudge I usually have Christmas here, and I make a big turkey dinner with all the fixin's. Happy Holidays Everyone - God Bless!!!
