The other night I was fortunate enough to watch one of the great live bands ever. I saw Yes at Tahoe, front row! These guys are the epitome of excellence on stage. The play for over 2.5 hours and demonstrate what musicianship is about.
They have a bunch of great songs, but the one that really grabbed me the other night is "Heart of the Sunrise." Now, while most of you are too young to maybe even know who Yes is, they might be a group you should check out, especially if you consider yourself a serious listener of music, not a casual one. With Yes, you won't find short bubble-gum pop songs. You will find long, intricate music that can take you "Close to the Edge."

Yes, Yes, nope, don't remember Yes. Were they around during the Benny Goodman era?
j/k, Yes rocks. (older Yes, not the 80's stuff)

You lucky dog, Altair. I have been a fan of Yes since the mid-70s and I saw them last year in an outdoor venue, but not up close like you. They are friggin awesome live. I have seen them four times overall. I can't believe Jon Anderson can still hit those high notes. Heart of the Sunrise is one of my all-time fave songs.
