How long does it take to get an album done?

Excluding the time spent on writing music, from the day one you get in the studio to the day it's released, how long does it take?

(I mean an average...)

That sould be: recording, adding studio effects and mixing? Or I forgot a part of the process?

Deep Purple's "Machine Head" (one with Smoke on the Water, Highway Star, Lazy and others) was written and recorded in 2 weeks.
Mozart had been writing up to ten symponies a year + tonns of other stuff.

Bottomline -- it doesnt take long if artist is dedicated and talented.

Mr. Troll, pay attention!

I asked about the recording process, not the creative process.
