I used to play the violin when I was little, but I always liked the piano better.....

Yeah i like the piano too. I'm gonna get my friend to teach me, but it's gonna be so confusing! But i would love to be able to play fluently. Come to think of it, it would be nice to play the violin properly too...

I've only tried to learn piano and guitar Didn't last though I didn't have the patients to teach myself.

Well, the woman who owns the store I went to (it has been there for as long as I've been alive!) told me that a Pallatino is the violin many students learn on. And the tutor is located there. The guys down the street tried to get me to lease one for 30/month and use the money toward buying a new one. Ok, except I'm not ready to drop $300+ on one right now. Do any of you have a used one I can buy or know anyone who does??? I could go with a viola instead if anyone has one of those used. I'm just experiementing right now... Don't even know if I could play at all.

Maybe you should hire one and learn for a bit, just in case you end up hating it!
I wouldn't suggest a viola. The sound isn't as good, the strings are too thick... yukky
