Hey guys

I am backing up some of my dvds to avi files and i was wondering what bitrate i should set it to. ATM it is set to 1500. Is that heaps high? I dont know about video, only music files.

1500 is not too high if is just for archival usage and playback on your computer. It is too high for most internet streaming. The video projects that I do, when I compress them, are usally are around 1000-2000 bps, so you are falling in the middle.

Ah righty oh...I keep getting results that are all scattered. I dont know what I am doing wrong. Must be missing something.

sorry it took me so long to reply. Like...the picture is all fragmented - kinda like if your digital tv signal doesnt come through properly on your tv
