Finally: some worthwhile music in a single week!

Seems like the end of summer was kind of dry as far as music releases. BUt this week, Thousand Foot Krutch and Submersed both had new releases, as did H.I.M. I know I'm gonna have a sh*t-ton of music to buy this fall, as well. Matchbox twenty on Oct 2, AB on the 9th, Demon Hunter on Nov. 6. And supposedly P.O.D. also has a new album out Oct 2, although I've heard that date is still somewhat up in the air, and haven't heard a whole lot else. But, still... I'm pretty excited about some new music this fall!

Someone sent me a leaked copy of the Submersed CD, but I haven't listened to it yet, lol. I could get the real one now :D. I'm still waiting for the mail. I ordered Nil Recurring by Porcupine Tree, which is music from the Fear of a Blank Planet sessions. I cannot wait for this. It sucks having to order this crap from England, dammit. Postal is soooooooooooooooo slow!

lol
Submersed's album is kinda so-so
It's just not the same without E-rock, b/c they're kinda one-dimensional w/o him. I mean, Donald (right?) is a decent vocalist, but doesn't have much range. And the other instruments are just average, nothing special. So, really, the only thing they had really going for 'em was Eric's wicked fast playing.
And, of course, they did attempt an insrumental entitled "An Artist's Prayer;" again, nothing special.

I was also able to find 4 more leaked AB songs, and they rule.

Yeah, E-Rock was my favorite member, I must admit. I still have yet to check it out. I'm going to buy Hurt's new one tomorrow, so maybe I'll get the Submersed on. I'm not listening to the AB stuff until I get the album :D.

Ya the Submersed album really is not that good IMO. In fact I'll say it blows... sorry to all the Submersed fans... I'm a fan myself but this album just doesn't do it for me. I had no idea E-Rock was not in the band anymore and I guess that explains maybe why I do not like this record. I was wondering why it sounded so "average" or "bland" compared to their first...

Yeah, he got the boot awhile ago. I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the fact that E-rock was a Tremonti protege, and what with AB leaving Wind-up, but Submersed sticking with the label.... I wonder if WU even forced him out, tho I've heard the singer Donald Carpenter had problems with E-rock stealing the show.

I'm not certain where they came from, but I found them on a particular online community (that, incidentally, appears to have somehow gone offline in the past 36 hrs or so). They're studio versions and, as far as I can tell, will be included on the final cut of the album (I do recall having downloaded Angels & Airwaves' album this past spring about a month ahead, and later found that, while some titles were mislabeled, some of the songs weren't even the final product, but more of a demo).
They are:
Come to Life
Buried Alive
Before Tomorrow Comes
Watch Over You

I'm assuming Steve wouldn't be happy if I started offering to email these to people or hosted somewhere or what have you, so I'll conclude by saying that my favorite of the 4 is Watch Over You, then Before Tomorrow Comes, then Come to Life, then Buried Alive (which, IMO, is better than Rise Today).

I'm curious to see what the new P.O.D. is going to be like.
