I'm just not feeling it.... once i hear the solos and the intro maybe I'll come around. Scott does sound great I'll give him that.

I'm just happy they didn't release "One Last Breath II." At least this single has some grit. I used to hate having to defend Creed's music when debating people who have only heard their singles lol.

That clip sounds like Stapp is singing over a sub-standard Alter Bridge song that didn't make the cut for Blackbird.

Not impressed at all.

Sounds to me like a 2009 Stapp solo album. Its not mixed like a AB album at all. I read a Tremonti interview after the split, in which he said Stapp had a lot of influence over what the songs Creed wrote sounded like, Weathered I think is a good example of that. If I had to guess Human Clay was more of a 50/50 split. But the sample is only 30 seconds so we can't really say for sure until next week.

It should have AB overtones, but because Tremonti is a different guitar player now than he was with Creed pre 2004. Paying for your own album like AB did with Blackbird really changes a musician when they have the freedom to do exactly what they want.

Full Circle is under Wind Up and we can see in previous threads that they don't give their artists much say in what the final out come is, be it the first single, or tone of the album.

I think its funny how some people say it sounds like alter bridge and others say it doesn't. I personally like what the 30 second clip gives us and its already caught in my head. I think you could replace Scotts voice with Myles in that clip and it would work so, to me, it does have alter bridge overtones.
More than anything though, it sounds like Creed!

Bottom line is this album is going to have Alter Bridge Like riffs with stapps vocals. everyone is going to say it sounds like AB because we have heard them since 2004, every where they interview people are going to say the new album sounds like somthing AB would make..

I think it sounds awesome. "It sounds like Alter Bridge," some say. Yeah, and John Fogerty was sued for plagiarizing Creedence Clearwater. It's going to sound like Alter Bridge, because the band IS Alter Bridge. Just like how AB's first record sounded A LOT like a Creed record.

However, to throw fire on gasoline, it also has the timbre of "Justified" and/or "Hard Way" off of The Great Divide.

So, take it as it is.

The last 15 seconds just don't sound anything like Creed to me. The first 15 seconds do.
