Lucy 02-26-2003 05:21 AM

ok... works now....
thanks!!

:D

ps: a question... u know if there will be any video bootleg up?

Mulletman 02-26-2003 10:00 AM

yes there will be, but you people will have to wait for that. it takes a long ass time to upload a whole concert in MPEG format and i dont really like uploading huge files. they will be up when i get the free time, or till i feel like it.(which ever comes first)

BTW~~~ a live version of bullets is around 40MB - 50MB. that speed has been clocked to around 10 - 20 minutes with high speed cable/DSL. the average dial up user cannot connect further than a 28.8Kb connection, MEANING that this video file would take you ATLEAST 6 hours to finish. My Own Prison, Torn, My Sacrifice are all over 70MB's. Who's Got My Back, What's This Life for? are over 80MB's. the average concert is 17 songs, i am hoping that you get the picture here. if you're gonna start these huge d/ls you either better make sure you have a solid connection or you have a Downlaod Manager, that way you can resume your d/l from where you last stoped, eliminating restarts and limiting the amount of bandwidth being consumed.

How much bandwidth do you have?
I'm on 56K modem and I can get 15 - 20 mb every hour...is this acceptable for 56K?

creeder 02-27-2003 05:37 AM

Yes i think this is acceptable for 56K.....

hide_tremonti 02-27-2003 06:13 AM

ok this made absolutely NO sense. what do you mean you get 15 - 20MB an hour? is that the amount you d/l per hour? or is that as much as your web provider allows you?

please explain/elaborate/or admit you dont know wat yer talking?

No, no one gets free bandwidth, ISP are now starting to limit and charge thier members by the amount of bandwidth they use.

creedster 02-27-2003 11:09 AM

...so thats how you get your jollies........

gade202 02-27-2003 03:35 PM

Having this as sticky is fine by me, lets more people know about them. Thanks!

I think what hide_tremonti was trying to say was that he is able to get 15-20MB an hour, speedwise. That's perfectly normal for dialup. I live in the USA and no, we don't get free broadband. I wish ;) There is talk about charging users based on the amount of bandwidth used a month but I have yet to see this take effect yet...
