Crazy Weather!!

Hey all!!!
I cannot believe the weather here outside Chicago.. Less than a week ago we had almost a foot of snow here and everything was white. Today it's 62 and people are wearing shorts and we have thunderstorms and flash flood warnings :wtf: Has anyone else got this crazy ass weather too?? I've had my heat on forever and today my windows on the car and at home are open!! I bet I get sick now...Friday the high is going to be 8

JulieCitySlicker 01-12-2005 07:08 PM

We are getting some weird weather here to HigherGirl  Today its been 70 degrees and we have severe thunderstorms on the way, tomorrow its gonna be in the 30s with snow flurries :wtf:

aussiecreeder 01-12-2005 07:21 PM

That is bizarre.....what is going on? perhaps there is some credence in the whole global warming arguement.

HigherGirl 01-12-2005 07:27 PM

I have no clue, But it's verrry weird...
Oh they changed the forecast on us for Friday..It won't be 8 degrees, it'll be 17 now!!!!!!! :wtf:

yea...

couple weeks ago.. here where I live, we had an inch of ice.

And the temp. one week (or two) is in the 60's, next week is in the 30's-40's...

titan9 01-13-2005 02:40 PM

We've got some crazy weather here. One day it's raining, the next day it's 10 degrees and snowing. Today we've gone from 52 degrees, to 42 degrees and quickly falling. Crazy Michigan weather!

Chase 01-13-2005 04:03 PM

Here in Southern California... we've been having crazy weather. Over the last two weeks, it rained about 10 of those days non-stop. It was heavy rain for us too. Floods all over the place and some mudslides.

JulieCitySlicker 01-13-2005 04:06 PM

I saw the mudslides there on the news yesterday  Thats gotta suck!

Torn Daredevil 01-13-2005 08:03 PM

I'm at college in Indiana, a couple hours from Chicago, yesterday it was 65, and today it rained/snowed all day!!!

scrit 01-14-2005 06:33 PM

Wow! Now thats a drastic weather change

whitebird 01-15-2005 11:38 AM

We are about 20" below the normal snowfall for our area. This may sound like a good thing to some people, but it creates problems. Trees and plants die, because these is no insulation from the cold, and lakes and streams need the runnoff in the spring, otherwise our enviornment is effected throughout the rest of the seasons.

Things do seem to be changing in our world, and I do believe that we need to listen and learn. We are connected to the earth, and our lives and the lives of all the other species are interconnected.
