Re: Eta declares permanent ceasefire
ETA and the entire Basque region should look at Catalonia's peaceful attempts to gain autonomy. There is no need for terrorism to push their cause. Hopefully this will end ETA's violent acts against innocent Spaniards.

Spain is led by a weak, socialist leader in Zapatero... I seriously doubt the man would even defend Madrid against an ETA attack. |

Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero plans to meet opposition parties next week to discuss what might happen next. ETA must give clear signals of a definitive end to violence," said secretary of state for communications Fernando Moraleda, who acts as spokesman for Zapatero |

The ETA does not have enough resources or backing to be a serious thread to Madrid anymore, and your opinion on Zapatero seems to be a bit biased, undoubtedly based on his withdrawal of troops from Iraq, but ofcourse your entitled to your opinion about foreign leaders, just as we have one about your leader. |

I disagree with his social policies... I could careless about Spanish withdrawal. |

So basically you're saying that every socialist is a weak leader, Tony Blair will be glad to hear it :) |

 Its a clear demonstration of arrogance...wow! See..this is your problem Chase (that by the way reflect the thought of the most of american people you simply dont care about anything outside America (just if your militaries troops invaded a place to "spread democracy") but you still can say that the Spain PM is weak..You clearly judge Zapatero...but WE (foreigners) CANT say the same about your beloved president. .. |

Well gee, by saying HIS social policies that would indicate that I was referring to HIM, not Tonly Blair. The Brits for example, have very good social policies... as do the Swedes. But some of Zapatero's policies I just disagree with, I have that right. |

How many times do I have to tell you that I don't love Bush? I never said that you're not allowed to say bad things about President Bush. But, I also have every right to speak out against other world leaders if I chose to. Unlike you though, I still respect Zapatero. I still think he's a good guy. I still think that he cares about his people. I don't think he's selfish, or corrupt. I'm not like you where I'll call Zapatero every derogatory name in the book and accuse him of things that you have never provided proof for. I just simply think that Aznar was a better leader, simply put. |
