Recap of "Christmas in Iraq"

During WWE's Christmas in Iraq (they were just outside of Tekrit this year), they made a plug for Creed's Greatest Hits ("One" was the theme song this year). Tazz (one of the announcers) said something about "Creed, the phenominal rock band that they are, contributed the theme song for this year. We couldn't have done it without them. So go buy their greatest hits album, available now."

After the show, they recapped the superstars in Iraq while they played Higher!!! They had a thing in the corner of the screen promoting the greatest hits. It was pretty sweet.

Just thought I'd let you know.

Yeah, I saw that and made a post in this forum "WWE uses another Creed song" about it. I thought it was pretty sweet. So they've used 3 Creed songs for the Iraq show now, ironically one from each album.

Wind-Up doesn't happen to own the WWE, do they? :p

Sometimes I wonder about that. :D I think that Wind Up and WWE must have some sort of deal because WWE has used so many Wind Up artists for either theme songs for their wrestlers, PPV songs or songs for shows:

Creed(countless times)
Alter Bridge(twice)
12 Stones(a few times, plus they wrote "Back Up" specifically for the Rock)
Drowning Pool(two or three times now and they perform SD's new theme)
Finger Eleven(Kane's theme)
Evanescence(they used BMTL before it became a big hit)

And that's just a few of the Wind Up guys WWE has used. Clearly they've favored Wind Up artists.

I don't think so. WWE seems to actually have a DECENT public-relations department. :D

It feels like the WWE has Wind-Up by the balls because most of the songs they choose are from Wind Up artists. Personally I liked last year's choice, Weathered, better.
