My old minister, get this guys, before I was a Christian, I was outside the church quoting some Metallica lyric to someone and he walks up and yells, HEY! I know one of the most used heavy metal lyrics ever!!!! And I just looked at him and went oh, and what is that??!!! And he jestured **come here**, **closer**,**closer** till my ear was right up to his ear, and then he burped in it and walked off!!!!!!

At the begining of one of his sermons he got up, grabbed the mic and stated, "I have no problem with unmarried men and women sleeping together"

Not all churchs are good Lech ;) There are so many that let politics overrun them and/or money! Plus there are so many self righteoues pastor anymore as well.

Yeh, I'm pretty sure that the way that church is run is a little unbiblical. I think we are still stuck in the old catholic thing of having a heirarchy. We R all sposed to minister to each other, not just one dude doing it all when hes not really gifted by God to do it U know? But because of church politics it's like that.

In Australia the churches aren't as sold out on the whole prosperity doctrine as much, only some churches, but most aussies dont like it. Try giving someone in a third world country the same sermon and we shall see how it goes down, U know!

Perhaps we should start a thread on this. See what everyone's opinions are.

BTW that pastor that burped in my ear, hes one of the main reasons why I gave God my life, cos I knew from hanging with him that Jesus was just like us, not some freaky monstrous entity up there frowning on us every time we got outta line. Cool eh.
