View Full Version : The Calling

On the edge of six feet down
Clutches marker words of stone
Doesn’t understand the why
Never could now can’t atone

Little boy blue is lost on you
Doesn’t follow unspoken rules
Cannot be the man so young
Open scorn a hatred fueled

Abandoned child left to fly
Little Mary he dared to cry
Ridiculed for spine so weak
Secret garden gets him high

Donning robe of black and white
Forced to swallow head held tight
Can’t confess now must suppress
Watches father bless the night

On the edge of six feet down
Clutches rope why cast in stone
Hears the angels call for him
Surrenders now to world unknown

Alright, the lyric was okay, but I like Stapp lyrics more than Alex's. (Alex Band = front man in The Calling). After all, this is a Creed board.

It's just a title for my poem, extreme lithium. It has nothing to do the band The Calling. And this is the Creative Corner forum where people can post their creative musings.

not sure if this is a postive for Dogstar or a negative for the guy from The Calling perhaps both but Dogstar's lyrics blow his out of the water. Dogstar seriously do you sing? As in good enough to be a lead singer in a band?

Hide, you are too kind :)...I can sing, but I'm not sure I have the pipes to be a lead singer professionally. I could probably be a ballad-type or acoustic-type singer, but not really good enough to make a living at it, LOL...Besides, I'm probably a bit too old for that lifestyle, LOL...:D

once again i'll bring up Eddie Vedder but he has said you can either spend hundreds on therapy or for only a few dollars buy yourself some canvases, some paint and the like for next to nothing and it will last you a year or so. same principle here!
