here is a inspirational story i came across it's a bit long but i like it.
thought i'd share.
was written by a man called Daniel.

though we be apart,
we are but a heartbeat away.
I have come to share a Truth
upon this blessed day.

At the Crossroads of Life did he stand...
...upon the very spot where North met South,
where East became West...

But there was confusion within this young heart
as to the direction he should travel.
Strong was the desire to follow the footsteps of his shadow,
off into the western sky;
and yet there existed also the yearning to journey east,
seeking to find the birthplace of Light...

And as he peered off into the distance
of the four separate journeys that lay before his feet,
he saw yet another traveler approaching from the south;
and as this wayfarer came near it could be seen that he was
weary in years and the youth bade him to rest awhile
and speak unto his heart, the secrets of the road.

In silence did the ancient one sit,
contemplating the four directions of Life,
and then with great tenderness did he speak the
ageless wisdom of his years...

"At the Crossroads of Life have we come together,
one at the dawn of his journey, hopeful and eager
to be on Life's way;
while the other would but linger in reflection
at his own journey's end,
caressed by the peace that is found at dusk.
Each traveler begins his journey at the Crossroads of Life
and no matter the direction taken,
at Day's end shall he stand again at the Crossroads of Life.
The path that you begin and the way that I must end
leads us yet to the journey untaken;
but it is not meant that I should guide your wandering course,
nor would it prove wise to judge the paths that I have walked.
The secrets of the road cannot be spoken in words;
they must rather remain a mystery for each to unravel
and a wonder for all to behold.
But this I will speak,
that you may know the different ways
that await your eager steps...

Aye, the four directions have I walked,
searching, ever searching
to find the meaning of myself...
...to know the reason that I exist,
to understand the purpose of my journey.

To the West did I follow my shadow as he led me
down into the shadowlands of self
and there I became lost within the dark canyons
of wanton desire
as my own ignorance led me further,
ever further from the Light.

To the East did I turn my eyes,
seeking the power of Wisdom and Truth,
racing towards the Light...
...daring to understand God
without the awareness to first understand myself.
And I let arrogance lead the way,
for I was exceedingly pleased with the Light
that shown upon my face for all to see,
though I was, myself, as blinded by the Light
as I was by the dark and shadowy blackness.

To the South did I retreat,
into the land of Yesterday,
reliving the past of my regrets.
There I became a prisoner held in bondage of the
sorrows that I refused to leave behind;
and with every step I took, the weight of my own
burden increased until I could bear it no more.

So I turned my back upon the emptiness of yesterday,
to face the Northern Star and to walk the unfolding
Path of Balance.
I vowed to look ever forward, locking behind me
the limitations of my past.
I kept God's Light to the right of me
and the wonder of the world to the left of me
allowing the Way and the wayfarer to emerge as one
in harmony and balance.

And so you shall come to see my son,
that each and every day do you stand at the
Crossroads of Life that you may contemplate the
meaning of your journey...

...Go in Peace."
have a great sunday everyone :)
