Shattered View
sitting and pondering
not sure about my life
nothing is what it used to be
the brokenness of all i used to know
now i know not what i see

running in circles
trying to find a place of refuge
afraid of what is out there
of what might be had

staring through a window
my shattered view all i have left
confusion my only friend
why has it come to this

afraid to let you in,
don't want to show my scars of within
only to be broken again

winding through a maze that never ends
the only way out is to break these walls
i must break free from the labyrinth of my mind
and a life of hidden tragedy

pain and suffering, the world over
trapped in our own misery
but no healing to be found
all we have is shattered view to look through

This is one of my first works. I am just looking for your thoughts/opinions and any guidance you have to offer. Thanks-Iced
