Working out and taking Creatine. I guess it stores water in your muscles making them bigger and stronger. Just wondering if it really works.

Well...... I hate to tell you this, but it is something to not fool with. This is something that DRASTICALLY effects your kidneys. If you have too much you can go into renal failure. So I am sure you don't get your levels checked right? I would get out of that and do it the old fashioned way with plain vitamins etc... Where did you get something like this? I know that it will cause you harm eventually, so stop it! That is my proffessional opinion, I work in a acute care critical hospital setting and I can't tell you how many people I have taken care of that have taken supplements such as this and ended up on dialysis!

yeah...learned that stuff in health class last yr....same thing with Diet pills....and for any drug fro that matter....if you take it long enough with large doses....it'll eventually destroy the kidneys....because even if it's a good drug...they kidneys still have to filter bad stuff out of it..(i think that's pretty accurate?..right Jen?)

alright, heres the deal from the me. I took creatine my freshman year in high school and it DID work. My arms grew to 15in, my neck and shoulders grew, my chest got wider and i even got those little back "wings". It did work, but i was lucky. I had friends to took andros and POS and they didnt grow as much, some just got fat other had chest problems. keep in mind creatine will not get you that ripped "chisled" look.

VERY IMPORTANT and i will slap the shit out of you if you dont listen. In order to start one any of these muscle enhancers you need to have a VERY STRICT work our regimine two months prior to the first pill. when i mean strict i mean like 1K push ups/sit ups, 300lb weight lifting, etc... this will not prevent any health problems but it will delay it.

BASICALLY TALK TO YER DOCTOR

if you just want to lose weight, get yer fat ass on the tredmill, this will not help you loose weight.

when i took them it was like this;

strict workout two months prior to using the pills
every workout day start it without the pills, then 30 minutes into it take ONE pill then continue.
continue strict work out with pills every other day for 3 months
after three months, continue workout WITHOUT pills for 6 months.

its strict and its a pain in the ass but that is the only way to guaruntee them to work right.

more importantly, talk to your doctor before you try anyting.

i was thinking and before you go and say "worked for him, itll work for me"

i had to stop taking the creatine because it didnt not mix well with my meds. the meds were for neurological reasons. the creatine didnt mix to well and kinda gave me 'roid' rages. nothing to serious but it did happen alot more than usual. on top of that, my meds are very powerful and with the creatine they started to fuck up my liver even faster than they should have. and oh yea, i broke my neck.

so yea, i got the body i wanted but it didnt last too as long as i planed. even though it couldnt have been completely avoided, it did help some, but then it didnt help much.

Personally I think that health needs to come before the "ripped" look. No matter what you can't be these things forever and it will cause you more harm than good. Anyways why would you want water stored in your muscles? Your muscles are not made up of water, that just does not make sense! I am an orthopedic sprots medicine nurse and also specialize in other areas including kidneys and brain surgery........ it's your body and your choice, but you put the question out there and I am just being honest with you!
