Of course that is correct, but then again if it isn't discussed then those who are left behind will have to dig deeper for the truth. And who wants to depend on such disaster to have to find the light? I mean yeah if we were hit by a truck and to die to night, us three and others on this board would go to heaven anyway. It's all about trying to help others arrive there to and hope that they too, can see the light. It's about being aware and helping, but also understanding the surroundings in which we live in, and living in them. ;)

Sure there are a lot of shitty things going on these days but there always have been, and really I think you could argue that if God really wanted to end the world because things were looking pretty shitty then there have been many times when it would have been more appropriate.

All through Christian history people (e.g. Newton, iirc) have been predicting the end within their lifetimes or a generation, and it hasn't happened yet. And as you say, signs are very vague and open to interpretation.

You don't think that God is more patient than the couple of thousand years since Christ?

Jesus also says that we are to walk amongst the world and shine the light of the Lord so that others may see His glory in us. If we continue buy into doomsday prophecies, then we are selling ourselves short of the Glory of God.
