But I was wondering what Halloween costumes everyone had in mind for this year.

Most kids already know what they want to be for Halloween, so what will your kids dress up as?

Or if you are going to dress up, what will you be?

I am going to be a Cheerleader because we have to dress up at work.

Lauren wants to be Strawberry Shortcake

Tyler wants to be a cop

I'm not sure if we're doing anything at work for Halloween or not yet, Carrie. Sometimes we do have contests for Best Costume, etc. One time a bunch of us dressed up as witches, we bought a black plastic cauldron and dry ice to make it look like something was actually cooking in the cauldron. I've never been a big Halloween person but I remember that was really fun. I was dressed totally in black. I even found black lipstick and nail polish to wear for the contest.:P

You'll be great as a cheerleader and I like your kids' ideas for costumes too.

Thanks. I cannot think of anything else to be, I already have a cheerleading outfit so I figured it would be good. Plus it still fits.

Yeah, Halloween can be alot of fun. I do love to see the kids all dressed up. They're so cute. If you take some pictures of your kids, I'd love to see them in November.

I'm gonna be Freddy Krueger and scare the shit out of 5 year olds when they come to the door for candy, i haven't dressed up since 2000, so it should be fun, and i don't have anything better to do, i wanna go all out this year and make the house really scary, maybe get a fog machine and some scary music (from the movies Halloween and A Nightmare On Elm Street)

Sheila, I will be sure to bring some pictures in November.

Dan, that sounds like a blast. I used to do that stuff when I was a teenager. It was always fun as a kid to go to the scariest, most decorated house as well. I hope you have fun.

I love Halloween, I get my house all decked out and barely never any kids come! I have some great ideas ready for jack-o-laterns already, can't wait. As far as me dressing up I doubt it, no where to go!:dunno:

I love your AV, Jen. I also like your signature.

I have been some pretty good things for Halloween in the past. I remember last year discussing this with Teri and we found out we had both dressed up as Pregnant Nuns for Halloween one year. I was actually pregnant when I did it, she said she wasn't, but it was neat that we had the same idea at different times, LOL!

One year I glued smarties to my pants and went as a smarty pants. I could go on and on.

Lady V(alkerie sp?) used to post here quite regularly and tangled with lots of folks about spiritual issues. She hasn't been around in a while, though. Hope all is well with her...

I'm kind of hot and cold on Halloween. Sometimes I'm into, sometimes I'm not. I like giving out the candy and all, but I don't dress up unless I have a party to go to or something. One year, one of my bros dressed up as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark...It was pretty hilarious to see a 300+ pound man wearing a dress and a long black wig :D.

I know, I remember Lady V. as well. I haven't seen her on in while.

That is funny as hell about your brother. I would love to have seen that.

Yeah, the kids get so into it. I remember the year one of my nephews dressed up as the Statue of Liberty. He had gone with my sister to see it and he was so obsessed with it. He was about 5...So cute!

I remember when I was 12 my mom let me and my friends go alone for the first time and we had lotsssss of candy and some big teenagers chased us down, I feel onto my knees and scraped them really bad and dropped my candy and we ran to a house for help. They got two of our bags of candy. They were horrible!!! Can you imagine?? We were sooo scared!

Dogstar

Awwww, Marlsy, that stinks! My worst Halloween was when I got attacked by this nasty dog Nicki in our neighborhood. Knocked me on my a**, bit me all over and I lost a bunch of candy :(. Had to get stitches, too.

The funny thing about Halloween to me is, I love the season and the fall goodies. NEVER once when I was a kid did I think of the DEVIL or pagan rituals. So many people overeact to Halloween. I love the pumpkins and gords, candles costumes and goodies. So many people make it out to be a "religion" issue.
