I have a story that is very sad, yet I think that it may be of interest to many of you on creedfeed. First off I had a friend named Jared Francisco that would be 18 years old right now (same age as me). We were best friends since 4th grade and visited each other several times a week. However 2 years ago his life was ended when he fell asleep at the wheel and was thrown from the windshield. The other two passengers in the vehicle with him were fine, however I was told something very interesting. When the police arrived at the scene the radio in his truck was still blasting on repeat on a song by creed. The song was entitled "With Arm's Wide Open". When I listen to the lyrics it is hard for me to keep a straight face because its almost like god is welcoming my friend Jared home to heaven in a certain context. I am just happy that I was able to share god with my friend Jared and he is in a good place right now. Thanks for reading my thread and I challenge you to listen to the song and tell me how the song sounds when you listen to it from that aspect.

WOW I am so sorry to hear about your friend:( I have lost a friend before, it is so hard. Yes I know the power of Creed's music, it has helped me through numerous difficult situations. Their music feeds my soul. I never looked at the song that way, but when I think of the lyrics and that situation it makes me well up in tears. Welcome to Creedfeed I am sure you will like it here!:D

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, joel.:( I understand how Creed's music can touch a person's life. It certainly has helped me through some tough times and has also helped me to grow as a person. I never thought of WAWO in that way, but the song has special significance for me as well.:) When I read the part of God welcoming your friend home, it brought tears to my eyes.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and welcome to the board.:D I hope you enjoy yourself.

Hey, thanks for sharing that story Joel. I had a friend last year that took his own life, and after I heard the news all I felt like doing was laying in my room and listen to some reflecting Creed songs including WAWO.

Welcome to the board!!! Everybody calls me Ben around here.

That is so sad. :( I'm really sorry. I've listened to WAWO in a few different lights, and all seem to fit the song. That aspect you thought of as God welcoming him home is really awesome. It's a really special thing.

Wow Joel, I'm so sorry for your loss. Such a tragic & sad story.
I know what it's like to lose a friend, I lost my best friend in a motorcycle accident a few years ago. My son just lost his best friend this past spring due to a stupid incident with drinking and playing with a gun. It's so hard to lose someone close to you and even harder when they are so young.

I hope you like it here and am glad you are a Creed fan. There music has helped so many in different situations. Nice to meet you.
