I know, Jen. The first pics didn't come out the best so I finally finished the roll of film that was in my camera and got them developed just today.

Thanks, Dogstar! I LOVE it!! And yes, I have some capri pants. I've been showing it off already.:D

No, most of it's green but there is some blue in there too. I'll try and see if I can get a picture that's a little closer.

AWESOME!!!! I've decided to reward myself with that swirl tattoo when I drop a few pounds. I have these low-rise jeans that I love and when they fit, I'm getting the tattoo on my lower back, right in the middle, but just high enough so you can see the swirl if I wear those jeans :D.

Thank you everybody for the compliments.:D It took me a long time to decide on the colors that I wanted but I knew that I wanted something other than black.

Hayley, the only time I had any discomfort was towards the end. It took him an hour to do it and my skin was feeling a little irritated at that point. The best way I can describe how it feels is it's like how your skin feels when you have a sunburn. Would I do it again? Absolutely! Plus, Dogstar, luvscott4ever and souldancer were there with me and we were talking the whole time so that was a plus.:D So a big Thank You to you three ladies for keeping me company. I'll never forget that afternoon.:)

I can't wait to see your swirl when you get it done, Dogstar!! That will look soooo COOL!!

Wow Sheila it looks so good. It is amazing how someone can do such good work. Especially on something as difficult as the Crest. I love it. It makes me want mine more then ever now.

Jen, did you decide against yours?

Sheila63
06-29-2003, 07:22 PM
Yeah, I've wanted one for a few years myself and it just seemed like the perfect time to get one when we were in FL and it was a big birthday for me too like it will be for you when you're 18!! :)

Thanks, Carrie.:D The guy did a great job so all the compliments on it really belong to him. I think his name was George. I'm really happy with it and I'm so glad I had it done.:dancing:

Thanks for that info, sunburn hurts, but I would be prepared to go through that for Creed! :D :crest:

That's a cool tat. Looks like its on your ankle. Green and black are my favorite colors together too. I want to get a creed tat someday. My parents would kill me if they ever knew I had a tattoo. They thingk they're evil for some reason.

You're right, Hayley, to me it was worth any discomfort.:D

Thanks for the compliment, Colin.:) Yes, it's a little bit above my left ankle. I didn't want to have it too far down because than it would be close to the bone area and I'm sure that would've hurt! Plus I got it on the inside of my leg vs. the outside because, selfishly, I wanted to be able to see it. Why have a tattoo if you can't see it yourself when you want to, right? Just my opinion, anyway.:) Although I'd love to have one on my back too. I know what you mean when you talk about your parents. Although I'm an adult, my parents are pretty conservative so I wasn't sure what their reaction was going to be when I came back from the trip with a tattoo!:P I'm also the only member of my family to have a tat although one of my sisters has talked about getting one too. When I saw my parents after I got home, I told them I had a "permanent gift" from my trip!! Neither one of them said anything - good or bad, LOL!! A week or two later, when my mom and I were talking and the subject came up, she called me a "wild woman"!

Jen, the crest would look so great on your back or shoulder. I hope everything works out okay with your back so you can have it done. :D

LOL @ your mom's "wild woman" comment! That's too funny, Sheila. You're doing a good job of breaking them in to the new you!

I know, Dogstar. I thought it was pretty funny too. And thanks, I'm doing my best to get them used to the new and improved me!:D

Just out of curiosity, I've wanted to ask other people, but never have... Do getting tattoos hurt? I know it's a needle poking you about 80 MPH (or so I've heard), but how badly does it hurt? I want some tattoos but I'm not sure about how much pain I want to put myself through.

Higher Desire...It's more like discomfort than pain. It doesn't really hurt, but it also depends on where you get it. I got mine on my upper arm, where there is plenty of flesh. If there isn't, I've heard it can be more painful. I want to get my next one on my lower back and there isn't so much flesh there, so I expect it will hurt more, but I think it'll be OK. I was so stoked to get my first one, that I literally felt no pain, LOL. Later, it was tender, like a bad sunburn, but that's the only real pain I felt. It was well worth it. I love my tat.

Cool tatoo! My freind has mentioned getting one when we go to Orlando in August. My husband wants me to get one ,but I am chicken!

Sheila63
07-01-2003, 11:56 AM
Thanks, stappinfection.:D I understand you being chicken but it was something I've wanted for a long time so it was worth it and although it took an hour to do, it didn't seem that long when I was having it done. I was shocked when he said he was finished.:)

Sheila your tatt looks awsome!!!!!! I love the color!!! That guy did a really good job! I wish I was brave enough to get the crest but I think if I did my husband would put me in the looney bin!! I really do want a tatt though!!! I would like to get one on my lower back,a big butterfly or something like that!

If i get a/the crest tatto ...I probably get it blue wit black outline...

Dogstar

That would be a very cool combo, Geek_2004. I think purple and black would be cool, too.

I got one on my left ankle. It was pretty painful. Not enough to make me cry or anything but it did hurt. The next one is coming soon and will be on my lower back and I'll let you know if that one hurt more or not.

Shelia great color for the tat. Looks gorgeous

Thanks, marlsy. :) I think a butterfly on your back sounds great. That's what I was thinking about getting before I decided to get the crest. As for being brave, I only told certain people about the tat before I got it, other people I waited until after I got it to tell them.;)

devils_here, thanks for the compliment.:) I wish you all the best with the one you're getting on your back. Please let us know how it comes out. Do you know what you want to get yet?

I was actually thinking of the WAWOF symbol and my 2 boys names on either side of it. I just have to figure out if I want it colored or not.

Sheila..just saw this post and got to go check out the final product! You were so cool about that...what a great event to share.

A tattoo of the WAWOF sounds wonderful! That is such a beautiful symbol and to know the good work that the logo represents...great idea.

Thanks so much, souldancer.:D I really enjoyed having you and the others there with me, it made it a lot more fun.

I look forward to seeing your WAWO tat when you have it done, devils_here. :)
