I got a bone size of empire state building to pick on Catholicism... should I?

P.S. there are so many "catholics" who dont even pracice but not even belive in their religion it's not even funny. My ex is a conformed catholic who is as much of a real catholic as I am as faith goes.

I'm Christian (not Catholic). The primary difference is the focus on rituals (the Rosaries) and the fact Catholicism sees Mary as a sort of deity (or intermediary).

I never understood that whole thing about Mary... I mean, Biblically, there is never any suggestion that we should "pray to Mary" or have an Earthy religious capitol/leader (the Vatican/Pope). I understand, historically, how those things came about, but none of them are in keeping with the concepts and teachings in the New Testament.

I guess those are the main differences -- quite significant.

I was brought up Catholic and taught catechism when I was in high school. Except for a family function that I may attend now and then, Catholicism isn't part of my life anymore.

I think it is too bad the male dominated interpretation and system of church/aministration hasn't given more recognition to deeply spiritual and influential women such as the Marys and St. Claire.

I'm a hardcore Christian!

And, Marcos... My best friend is SDA, and I went to an SDA owned school for a while. I'm not SDA though.
