Yeah it is pretty good! Amy has an awesome strong voice!! Some of the songs sound the same but they are good! I think it is a definite for you to get! There are no other songs on there with Paul McCoy though, the rest are just her singing. :)

Yes, it is a very good album. I really enjoyed it. I also bought it the day it came out. A must have for sure.

I like them, but think Bring Me To Life sounded better without the 12 stones guy. I also wish guys would stop shouting "YOU'RE HOT AMY!" and the like during their shows, I get it, shes hot, shut hte fuck up!

:wow: Really? They're really good! You should check them out. What caught my attention was the fact that they're a Wind-up band and that a whole lot of the Pitters love Evanescence. I guess it rubbed off on me. :lol:

I got the daredevil soundtrack this wk-end and I love the songs on there by Evanescence. The lead singer Amy has a awesome voice. She brings a different sound to rock music today. I like it. I really like "Bring me to Life" with her and Paul from 12 stones. Have become a real big fan of 12 stones, love their sound and their lyrics are AMAZING! Love that whole cd. Sounds like I need to get Evanescence cd. You know a duet with Amy and Scott Stapp would be GREAT! What do you think? Very possible with both bands being with Wind-up records.

That's pretty interesting, and sad. Is there any creative control by the artist anymore? Is this some scheme to sell more 12 Stones CDs? It's the label's job to sell the music, not change it.

I saw 12 stones live when i went to a creed consort..... It was kinda funny, they just looked liek a bunch of kids and their banner was upside down. They were playing when half the theater thing wasnt even full, and when he said "Ok everyone! Lets Jump up and down and make soem NOISE" noonme moved or said anythuing, the yjust sat there and watched....when creed came on thu everyone went Spaztic and people were scresaming and jumping and going CRAZY. it wuz so loud.

Hehehe... I just realized I spelled weird wrong in my last post... Oops. LOL! Anyways, I can play Bring Me to Life on my guitar. :) I'm learning Tournaquet now. I will hopefully be able to see Evanscence live soon. I just got done writing down a tour date that's kinda near here. I hope I can get tickets! **crosses fingers**

Does anyone know where Evanescence got their name from? Because I just dredged up a poem by Emily Dickinson called "A Route to Evanescence", and as a footnote, "evanescence" was defined as "an ornithologist's term for the luminous sheen of certain birds' feathers." I'm just wondering if the band's name could have possible come from this poem?? :dunno:

The bands name is defined on their website (www.evanescence.com (http://www.evanescence.com)). I think this is an awesome cd. Amy has an awesome voice and when Paul from 12 stones joins in it just rocks! The best song on the cd is Haunted (#5). I would definetely recommend this cd to anyone. (I would also recommend the 12 stones cd.)

I was listening to them the other day, 2 songs, and I just found that they sounded too much alike. That girl can sing, and the guy can guitar, but Evanescence just doesn't get me.

ben wanted something that started with an e {cause of artwork reasons, as previously stated} and amy wanted something pretty. so they looked through the dictionary in the e section, and lo and behold, somewhere towards the end they found evanescence. to dissipate like vapor. its creepy, yet beautiful. huzzah!
