I love U2's original version of the song. I just got a hold of Joshua Tree last week and man, it's an awesome CD. I think "Bullet The Blue Sky" is probably my favorite song on there. I'll have to check out those two covers you mentioned.

yeah, I definitely prefer The Joshua Tree over any other U2 album. The first 4 tracks are absolutely phenomenal, each of them amazing by itself, but when placed alongside the other 3.... wow! I bought the CD a few years ago, and this past summer, while at a record shop, I actually bought it on vinyl. The pre-amp for my turntable is supposed to be arriving (off Ebay) in the next few days here, so I'm pretty excited that I'll be able to listen to all my & my parents' records. Pretty sweet, yo.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's probably my favorite as well, although I haven't heard all their albums yet. I also got Achtung Baby last week, but I don't like that one as much as I like Joshua Tree. I'll also be getting War and Unforgetable Fire fairly soon as well.

Haha, I'm a fellow Shinedown fan. My friend(another Shinedown/Creed/Alter Bridge fan) told me about it yesterday and said it was a brillant cover of the song. Even though I admire Brent's range, I was a bit skeptical about it. Basically, I thought he might ruin a great song. Then I watched the cover and...wow...I was amazed by how good of a job the entire band(Brent in particular) did on it. After listening to live SD bootlegs and this cover, I am convinced that Brent is one of the best vocalists in modern rock today. He isn't quite as good as Myles or Cornell, but he's close.
