Well it's simple.

God -- superior, ultimate power.

TV -- superior, ultimate power.

Therefore God is in the TV (not literaly).

I am not, but I am keeping my mouth shut. You know I am trying real hard to keep up with "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all" But sometimes it is REAL hard!!!!!!!:embarass:

I know, it is hard sometimes. I am really confused by this entire thread, but I think that is the reaction he wants so I am not going there either.

Uhhhh.... I wanted to comment on the power TV has over so many people, but guess you need to make comedy out of everything now dont you guys?

Not always, but it indeed is more fun! I am serious enough at work and home, I like to laugh when I am on here!:P

Um, when your posts come out of left field with no discernable explanation behind them, yeah, we do tend to try to see the humor in them. If you had explained a bit further what you meant, maybe we'd have taken your post a bit more serious.

If you live in US, turn TV on, flip onto news and you'll see what I'm talking about... this bullshit with Bush preaching about evildoers and constant talks about crime/panic and stuff is no laughing matter. It's a disaster.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Who would have known to get that message out of what he posted. I think this is the oddest thread on the BB!

I would have to say that tv can be for good and bad, I myself actually use it as a schedule for myself, those reality shows are ruining me , but I like to watch. and we can't forget must see tv Thursday night, is it Rachel and Ross? or Rachel and Joey? Only time will tell On a serious side .We do get our news , breaking news from it so it can prepare us for whatever challenge we are going to face. It really depends on who we let watch and what we let them watch(our children). I myself find it entertaining. The only way to compare God and tv together are on Sunday morning, when that all that is on are preachers asking for money, I believe more people would tune in on Sunday who don't go to church if the preachers would teach and not beg for money. I don't what started this , but you can send cash ,checks, or money orders to me Mr.CreedfreakTn at Po box heeeeeheeee

I think that Lechium has been listening to too much Marilyn Manson. "God is in the TV" is a line from the song "Rock is Dead".

Dogstar
02-14-2003, 03:10 AM
Yeah. That is one MM song that I actually like. It's on The Matrix soundtrack. It's a good song to shadow box to :D.

Lechium
02-14-2003, 12:42 PM
Yeah, but it's not like Manson was the first one to think of that. This idea has been floating around for a while, and Manson worded it nicely.

Bridge of Clay
02-14-2003, 06:29 PM
yep, but you canīt argue with MM on this one... TV does have the power to manipulate people, their acts and their opinions.

But the point is that you just posted the lyrics without exlaining your reasons for doing so, or what, if any, comments you have about the lyrics. You just posted them. Other posters have gotten into big trouble for doing that. Especially if the lyrics are inflammatory.
