Anybody going to the Carnival of Madness tour?

I may go see them in AC, NJ. Is AB gonna play a full set though? I read somewhere that they're Co headlining with Theory of a Deadman. What does that mean? Who goes on first? I like Theory but I won't be nearly as interested if AB is on first and Theory closes the show...

I might go to one of the NY shows, if they go first you can leave and meet them by rather than sitting through Theory.

I have no idea who is playing first, I like Theory so I don't mind if they're on first. As for adelitas way and empathetic I have no idea, i just hope to finally meet them.

Show was awesome.. everybody sounded good. Finally got to meet Alter Bridge!! Very personal and approachable. Was able to to talk to Myles and Mark even got a few tips from Mark. Got all their autographs on the setlist but only two pics ( mark and myles ). Brian and Flip seemed to be in their own worlds but oh well. Was able to talk to mark about his album, though I wish I asked better questions. He said it's coming along very well but he's still working with song titles... wish I asked about an album title instead of the song titles. Songs in order: Slip to the Void, Find The Real, White Knuckles, Ghost of Days Gone By, Ties That Bind, Black Bird, Come To Life, Isolation, guitar battle, Rise Today. Biggest pop I say would have to be Black Bird, that is such an amazing song to hear live.

Good point!

Only nine tunes they played though huh? That blows. They're way too good to be relegated to an opening act's shorter time slot.

Did you meet them by the buses? It's usually hard to find them after, at festival tours. Still debating if I want to go, there are only going to be an hour away, but it's such a short set...

GD, about how long did they play and what time did they go on? I just developed a blood clot in my leg after surgery :( so I won't be able to stand long. I don't know I'll be able to see anything if I arrive right before they go on, does it tend to clear out a little bit between bands?

Im sorry to hear it feels so odd talking to you about Inspired, about such things. Excercise and thearpy takes care of those unless they become dangerous which may bring on symptons of being dizzy and sudden fatigue. its mind over matter, your legs belongs to you tell it to stand b/c i would never miss a show if i would have to come in on a stretcher :jam:

I can't say cause I was right at the barricade the whole time.. best of luck though, take it easy though with that clot. I don't know what kinda of venue you'll be at but if you can get a balcony view or something I would recommend that, this way you could try to find a chair or something.. then as soon as they leave head for the buses.

Was at the gig in Atlantic city, NJ last night. I had mixed feelings about being there seeing as how AB wasn't headlining, but of course it was all good once they took the stage. There were way more Alter Bridge shirts in there than Theory. Before Emphatic went on they played a recorded intro for the Carnival of Madness tour. As the bands were called out the place erupted for AB then we heard 13 or so people call out for Theory :-) I'm sure a lot of those fans just weren't there yet, but it was still cool. After AB's abbreviated set, we saw all the metalheads bolt and the cutsie girls rushed in for Theory. I didn't stay for Theory either...hung out in the lobby for a while to see if we could catch Alter Bridge, but that didn't happen. I did see Mark's tech though as he was walking by. I called out "Hey what's up Ernie?" He walked over like he thought he knew me, then stoped and said "I walked out the wrong door again." then turned around.

Myles tried to make a joke in between songs at one point. He asked if anyone was doing any gambling since the venue is in a casino. He followed that up with "Well, I'm a musician so i gamble my life away every day...on a dream." There was a pause, then he said "Wow, that might be the dumbest thing I ever said on the mic."

I think the set was the same aas the one mentioned above. Overall it was a great show as usual...just a shame they werent headlining. Now hopefully it won't be too long before the next album and a tour come around.

Glad you had a good time, I wasn't able to get to the show. I hope Tremonti tours next year, cuz I'm really not into seeing Creed...

That's a bummer that you didnt make it down. I'm with you too...would be cool to see Mark tour on his solo record, but I'm not holding my breath. I originally said I wouldn't be interested in seeing Creed, but I fell into the tickets and ended up being glad I went. They were still pretty good. Just lacked the edge that AB brings...the crowd, the sound, everything.

Yeah, I said I would never see Creed again, but I ended up going. At this point I don't think I'd go again. However, I will travel as far as I have to if Tremonti plays a show. Here's hoping!

Does anyone recall when AB went on stage? I'm planning on going to the show tonight, but I don't care for the other bands.
