I always thought Hoobastank was an appropriate name for them, given how their music sounds.

1-hit wonder as an opener. Great.

I'm really starting to consider the possibility of skipping the show, unless I can find a pit ticket for 1/2 price or something.

If you are a Creed fan, who cares what band is opening, just more time to enjoy the beverage of your choice.

P.S. - With as horrible as the ticket sales are in most venues, we will be lucky to see any of this tour.

Because Hoobastank is opening? Dude, I went to a Matchbox Twenty concert and ALANIS MORISSETTE opened.
I didn't skip the show.

No, because I can't justify $100 on Creed alone. I saw them several times back in the day for a fraction of that price.

I saw that show too. I took my gf. She just wanted to see Matchbox. Alanis wasn't as bad as I thought she would be. That doesn't mean she was good either. :p

I was thinking about this as well. I am worried they might pull the plug on more shows.

Ticket sales are absolute shit for the Chicago show. Everything from pit to lawn is still readily available. If pit can't even sell out in Chicago, I can't even imagine how bad sales are everywhere else.

^^^Pit is sold out at the Irvine show and the orchestra had only a handfull of seats left. That was like 2 weeks ago idk how much its changed since then

I can certainly understand the cost aspect of things. The promoters have priced this show out of the reach of many people, combine that with the fact that we do not yet have any new material and you have a recipe for poor ticket sales.

I guess that I am just shocked that this is a Creed board and people would need a quality opening band to justify seeing a band that you may never get a chance to see again.

I have seen Creed at least 30 times including the Alcatraz show and can not wait to see them one more time without caring who the opening band is.

Indeed.

Current GA prices:

U2 (hall of fame): $55
Metallica (hall of fame): $75
Bruce Springsteen (hall of fame): $95

Creed: $85

Something is extremely wrong with this picture.

That is out of order. I'd pay $85 to see U2 or Metallica but Creed... Don't get me wrong I love Creed but it just seems like the promoters are on a money grab.

Hoobastank? I just found this yesterday! Ick! I've sat through plenty of bad bands for the good ones (Crossfade before AB-OH>>>MY>>>GOSH!) Still, I would have hoped for Daughtry or something. The way it's looking, they're not going to bring in a big band. AND STAIND-Could it get any worse??

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I don't think Hoobastank is that bad.

"Crawling in the Dark"
"The Reason"
"Disappear"
"If I Were You"
"My Turn"

All good songs, and all at least charted on some radio formats. Of course, "The Reason" was their big smash.
