My car got broken into! Sucks big time because it was my favorite car. Happened around 5 am two black males approached the car and made a small hole in the passenger side window. In the process they shattered the whole glass, but there was only a small hole near the lock. Through that little hole the removed the lock and as soon as they opened the door, the alarm kicked in. Thankfully the ran away as soon as the alarm hit and nothing was taken, but still. Fortunately my paranoia payed off and parking near the security camera had its advantage. The camera caught everything and got a clear shot of thier faces. Looks like someone's getting me a new car.

Mullet, that bites! I hope they catch the creeps. I'm glad they didn't take anything, either. Grrrr. I will never understand the entitlement some people feel when it comes to other people's property.

Yea I know, partially I am at fault though. This one was the "date" car and when I got home from a date I left my jacket in the back and the stereo faceplate on.

It's sad that we have to fricken remove all items from the car just to make it less of a target. I learned from that a few years ago when I left a backpack on the floor in the front passenger side.

This is the first time anything like this has happened to me.

Same happened to me. I went to a hockey game and left my backpack on the floor in the front seat of my car. After the game I found my passenger side window smashed. Luckily nothing was stolen, but I had to shell out $70 or so for a new window :(

It cost me $150 for the new window and a good six months of straightening out attempted online purchases, loans and stuff in my name and having to close all my bank accounts (I was going to the bank on my trip) and open new ones. It was a royal pain in the butt.

Yea, thats about as much as its going to cost me to get the damn thing replaced.

In Philly, most insurance won't cover glass because they'd probably go broke with the claims with all the smash-and-grabs. You have to pay extra for it.

Yea I'm paying this bitch out of my own pocket. No way in hell am I letting my insurance agent get rich of me.
