I don't know. Creed have that album cover where they're in a tree -- looks kinda dumb if you ask me. But Disturbed have that big fiery electrical guy. Very freaking cool.

I vote for Disturbed on pure metal reasons.

Put your faces in a tree stump = not metal.

Big fiery electrical guy = very metal.

What does being 'metal' have to do with anything? Creed isn't a metal band to begin with.

If you want to split hairs, Disturbed aren't quite metal either, but that's a whole 'nother argument.

Creed are definitely metal but they do things that aren't metal sometimes, like the album cover with their faces on the tree stump. Not metal.

They should always stick with the metal and keep their metal fans happy.

Creed is not Metal in any way, shape or form. They are best described as Heavy Alternative-rock. Some of there ealier stuff Can be described as Post-Grunge. When I listen to Weathered...its not nearly anything like Metalica or Iron Maiden, which are real metal bands. Creeds guitars aren't as loud and Stapp is undeniably a rock singer.

I wouldn't classify Creed as metal, either. They are rock to me, but not metal. Metallica, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Mastodon, Meshuggah ... to me that's metal.

All right dude, whatever helps you sleep at night. If you really need to delude yourself into thinking they're metal, in order to feel secure about listening to them. Be my guest. But Creed is not metal. Nobody was debating you because these forums probably only have around 11 posters that visit this site regularly. If you were to show me proof of them being metal, somehow, than you might have an argument. But at this point you're just a raging fanboy. I actually dont even care what their classified as.
