Probably. No, I guess it is similar if by that you mean musically and lyrically. While Aaron Lewis doesn't sound a whole lot like Stapp (he's got a little more edgy, nasally voice), he's an excellent writer. I love Staind!

I love that song, but I have never really related it to Creed. I may now that you mentioned it, but I haven't yet.

Is Staind as whiney(?) now as their single "it's been awhile(?)" was? I have their first album and it rocked then I couldn't get away from that single.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean. I don't notice any whininess(?). If you mean that they sing about depressing stuff, then they still do that, though not to the extent as on Break The Cycle (So Far Away, Zoe Jane, Layne.... a few other songs are more uplifting, if you could say that about Aaron's lyrics).

Sounds a bit like one last breath, the intro I mean. Somber, then it gets mildley hard.

zoe jane is practically stainds with arms wide open.

Okay, maybe not whiney(?) but it just wasn't the same as the first cd. It seemed that single was a fairly big change from the album before. I'm assuming that most of the songs aren't like that. Oh, and I have no problem with anything depressing. The best music comes from darkness and truth people don't want to face.

Sometimes the dark music fits my mood quite well..... I dunno 'bout you, but I think Break the Cycle and 14 Shades of Grey are off the hizzle, for shizzle (don't own Dysfunction).... Very solid music, indeed (hard to believe they were discovered by Fred Durst! Did you download the song, Let It Out, off their website using the 14 exclusive thing or whatever? It's also a very good song (lots of the time, band's will put their crap songs online for free... granted it has a 30-play limit, but it's still great!).

You should. Though it's an Explicit CD, it's very good. Very, very good.
