There is no way that this much talent will not do amazing things and have immense influence in the future of music today.

LOL i hope your right but unfortunately talent doesn't always equal success! it will be interestering to see how they market the band, do they market it as a Creed side-project and get some leverage or start over? at least they will bring back the guitar solo! enough bands who can barely play their instruments!

Yeah, marketing and promo will be key. There are plenty of very talented frontmen (Chris Cornell for one) who did not do well despite their talent. It's even harder for guitarists sometimes...(Jerry Cantrell comes to mind)...Zakk's doing pretty well, but still, it's very difficult to equal the success of a super-group like Creed when the members go about their separate ways. I hope Alter Bridge kick ass, though .

marketing

your right, marketing is going to be really important. Sony and Epic dropped the ball with Mayfield.I do know Wind Up is going to put alot into this project though.

I hope so. They've stiffed a few bands in the past...like Dust For Life, for one.

true

the sad truth is most bands to get the shaft.I heard alot of industrys peoples jaws dropped when they got to hear a little of this though. Myles has some fans in the music business and Mark and company have made them alot of money so I think they will have the support.

True, they do have a leg up on newer bands because they established themselves earlier. Still, though, I hope WU doesn't f*ck it up.

At what point did Chris not do well?

I think AudioSlave got off to a shakey start, but are doing good now from what I know? AND yeah if somebody can screw something up its a record label! I just heard its all going down very well at this point.

His solo record, Euphoria Morning, which is awesome, did not do well, and I think part of that was that it wasn't promoted properly.

Solo albums from rock artists don't do well for a reason. I am pretty sure Chris Cornell didn't release an video for his solo album. Solo albums aren't supposed to sell. Look at John Frusciante.

It's hard to say that because Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden were already two well established bands.

I'm sure they don't make them with the intention of them not selling *rollseyes*, at least from the record label's standpoint...Not sure whether a video was released on Euphoria Morning. I'd have to check, as I haven't had cable in more than a decade.
