I walked into my room and with "arms wide open" was on so i listened and when the song was done the DJ said that was CREED With legs wide open, well i got pissed and called him and said at least get the name of the song right if you are going to play the best group in the world~~~Well this jerk starts yelling at me and says he can do and say whatever he wants and he called me six years old for getting upset about something like that with everything that is going on with the war and everything, i told him i did not call him to talk about the war i don't watch tv for that reason and i listen to the radio and to hear him make fun of CREED is not right since when they were here he fell all over himself just to get an interview~~The two faced SOB~~~I don't know am i making too much out of nothing, everytime i heard people say with legs wide open it was to make fun of them, i know there are more important issues in the world but just to get away from it a little while and listen to the radio and to hear something like that it just rubbed me the wrong way that's all Oh and i hung up on him and he called me back~~~LOL aparently they have caller ID and he told my mom when she gets home to call him back.

Radio DJs suck these days. They are all about being rude; it's part of their assinine shtick. I'm getting a CD player for my car and then I won't have to listen to that crap anymore.

I wouldn't call him back. He'll probably forget about you tomorrow. You were just expressing your opinion because you thought the guy was acting like a jerk (and he was ). Plenty of DJs get into that gig because they couldn't cut it in the music biz. Not all, but many. They just irritate me anymore.

I remember when I was driving to school last year, and one of the radio stations in my area would play spoofs of songs, and the one they played then was "my mouth is swollen" to the tune of with arms wide open. It was something like "My mouth is swollen just like i'm on novicane" or something like that. It really pissed me off.

Its too bad we don't like in a country where people could be killed for saying derogitory things. (not really, but sometimes you wish.)

Yeah, several of the knucklehead DJs in Philly really went to town on Scott S. when he was sick and had trouble with the vocal cords and they had to cancel shows. They were just so rude and mean-spirited. There's spoofing and then there's just plain being mean. I wonder if any of those boneheads went to the New Year's Eve show in Philly when Scott and the band kicked major a** with one hell of a show.

One of the stations down here really pissed me off a few weeks ago. Right after the Chicago show, one of the DJ's was talking about OLB, then after they played it, she said something to the effect that Scott was forgetting the words to some songs in Chicago and that he was probably going through a hard time because that baby his wife had isn't his. I was ready to go through the radio and throw her off the tower. But for just the same reasons mentioned above, DJ's are about getting a rise out of people and being jerks, so I knew it would do NO good to bother. However, that radio station is no longer transmitting in my house or my car. GRRRRRRRRRRR:madder:

Well there is this girl in my class who is very "flirtatious" and she used to sit with her legs open under the table last year so me and my friend made this song about her...

I heard a made fun of version of Higher on the radio the other day. I was at work, but when I heard the music come on (it was a small radio in the receiving room) I turned it up and they were knockin' Creed left and right. It pissed me off, but I just changed the station and WON'T EVER play that station again. It's just like Scott said in that Zero to Platinum Book. When they are getting picked on, it means they are at the top and when they are compared to Pearl Jam and STP, they consider it to be a compliment because they could be compared to some shitty band. It makes sense and no matter what loser feels like knockin' them each day of the week, I ignore it. When you call and make an ordeal, they are getting what they wanted, a reaction. That DJ is the one who was acting like a 6 year old.

You're so right, Carrie. That DJ was acting like a 6 year old!! To hear a radio station do that would tick me off too. Fortunately, I haven't heard any radio stations put down Creed in my area although I don't listen to the radio that much because I play cds most of the time when I'm driving.

I think Teri's right, creedchick, that DJ was probably calling you back so the station wouldn't lose a listener. I don't know how stations think they can keep listeners when their DJs say the things they do. It doesn't make sense to me.

This is a PRIME example of why I don't listen to the radio, quite frankly I hate it! I have a 6 CD changer in my car, I would not live without it now!!!:mad2
