BitTorrent: how the hell does it work?
Alright, i downloaded the bittorrent program offered by the fella who developed it first. installed it, the whole 9 yards. so now i wanna download, say, an episode of South Park. so i click on the file, and hit the ol' save button for a particular location. So then a fucking error thing pops up:
Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\O9SX63S5\SouthPark_814 - Woodland Critter Christmas_(rm_MrTwig_net)[1].torrent'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button and then click Search. And I get that message every time I try to download anything and everything, regardless of the file.

BitTorrent is the best way to download albums, movies and TV-series! I also use DC ++.

alright, i'm using BitTornado now, the link to a particular file which Steve posted on ABRocks seems to be working, other than the fact that it's not actually downloading. actually, now a little error message about being unable to connect to a tracker or something like that....

Doesn't matter. What matters is how many who's seeding it.

isn't that the same thing as being online & sharing the file? or is bittorrent completely different from regular ol' p2p?
