Dust For Life

I really love this band, but it seems like they dropped off the face of the earth. They toured with Creed a little so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about there whereabouts.
Thanks

I too am wondering what happened with them. They were supposed to be making new music for a follow-up album. They ever released a few demos which were really really great. But I guess Wind-Up fucked them over too. They seem to do that to every band that don't go on selling millions of cds.

That really sucks!! But I also have never heard of them. Of the six shows I saw last year, they were never with them, and it seems like all the shows I went to had different openers, with the exception of the show in Alpine Valley and Cincinnati, I suppose that's becuz they were only 2 weeks apart!! lol

Hey, Tamawig, nice to see ya! I don't know Dust For Life's music, so I can't help ya out. Do they have a web site or anything? They didn't open for Creed during the four shows I saw last year. What are they like?

They had a website dflrock.com but it vanished months ago. You should check them out, they have kind of an AIC sound. Their debut albumwas one of the best rock albums I heard in a while.

Here's a couple of the demos I downloaded from dustforlife.com (before it was abandonded). They're really good.

Hey, Tamawig. I got my Dust For Life CD and you are right. They definitely have an AIC sound. I detected a little STP in them as well. I really liked it. There was one song toward the end of the CD in which the singer really sounded a lot like Layne Staley. It was haunting, almost. I listened to it at work and had to keep myself from headbanging, LOL...I like that it had some guitar solos, too. Those are becoming extinct in today's music. Thanks so much for telling us about them. I've already spread the word to a few other people who might like them as well. I really hope they keep rocking. I think they have great potential.

Thrilled you liked it! Seed and Lifelike have some amazing solos don't they. This band is so friggin awesome and i'm startin to worry that they may have parted ways. Lets just keep our fingrs crossed.
