how do you get one, i've been trying to but i cant figure it out!

Hi Sheila
 jbjfan: To get an avatar, go into your User CP and look for the Edit Avatar option on the left. It's self-explanatory. For a custom avatar you need to upload a picture, either from your hard drive or from your server. I believe the picture can be no more than 100 x 100 pixels. Does jbj stand for Jon Bon Jovi?

Go to images on Google or Yahoo and you right click the image you wants as your avatar and click where it says "properties". Then see if it's at least 100 x 100 and copy and paste where it says "Address: (URL)".

When I first joined here, I was so caught up on how to get avies
 But now it's really easy, if you just follow those instructions you should get it easy peasy

1) Accumulate 25 posts or more
2) Click on the top of the screen on the left side where it says "User CP" (along with other options such as FAQ, Member List, Calendar, etc.) 3) Options will be listed along the left side of the screen 4) Click on Edit Avatar (5th option down) 5) You MAY have to click on the "Use Custom Avatar" choice. It will probably be set to "Do not use an avatar" 6) Either enter a web address for a picture or choose to upload one from your computer. IT WILL HAVE TO BE 100 X 100 PIXELS OR LESS. 7) Click the "Save Changes" button 8) Done. Hope this helps. H-D
