Pearl Jam - Garden

I have only just brought the Pearl Jam Ten album, and GARDEN TOUCHED ME RIGHT ON MY SOFT SPOT!!!! What an absolutley beautiful song, apart from Nothingman, this is my favourite PJ song. Deep lyrics, and awesome guitar riffs. Anyone else like this song? j/w

Yea, thats one hell of a song. Very creedish...... I think that's where creed's pearl jam influence spawned from tunes like that.

Is ten the only PJ album you got?

I just got there B-sides album lost dogs, some pretty rad b-sides there. Odd enough most were from riot act and binural. Very few from ten,vs,yeild and no code and NONE from vitology.

Try yeild, that will hook you.

Garden rules...and yes, Yield is great...I love them all. Binaural has been spinning a lot on my player. I love Nothing As It Seems.

hey if you love Nothingman you should get Vitalogy but be warned there are some songs that will make you think what the such as Bugs. Vs is a great album for those only really starting to get into the band, No Code is a masterpeice and Yield is an album that is quite easy to listen to.

Personally, and this is just my opioion but I never liked vitology that much, to me had 4-5 good songs, and the rest was just a bunch of directionless chords and unforgiving vocals. I would say hold off on vitology and start with ten and vs for a solid base. I had ten for almost two years and then got yeild. A very mellow easy going to album, mostly on the second half.

Vitalogy is my favorite. I like that it makes me think. Immortality and Tremor Christ RULE. I think it's their best, but that's just me.

all of them are really good.... but i really think yield is the best. the one two punch of go and animal... and then given to fly.... oh my. The rare occourance where guitar lines, melody, and lyrics are all in harmoney. And then, you get the mellow one two punch of low light and in hiding. Definately one of my favorite albums of the 90's and my personal PJ fav.

go and animal are on Vs but yes its a great 1-2 hit! Yield has a great opener named Brain of J that isn't played enough a fantastic opener! PJ don't play Garden enough, I think its barely been played at all over the past 2 tours which is a shame. Can't wait for their next album, I think Riot Act was a step in the right direction!

Yeah, I picked up on that also, which is great because you need some easy listening. Yeild is a fantastic album. I think I might get VS as my next PJ album, from the feedback from you guys it sounds like a good one.

Vs is a killer album, second to only ten. Wait till you hear "blood", that's probably harder then bullets or what if. But, there are so many others.

I would say that Blood lies somewhere between the two espescially live. Bullets is a harder song almost metal really but Blood is harder then What If at least in parts. I don't really see the Garden to Creed connection but Sister and Leash are sort of similar.

Vs is great its a great rock album, Dave A (name is too long) is a great power drummer but he "left the band" Stone fired him but everyone thinks that it was Ed who made the call. The one two punch of Go and Animal is great then you get Daughter.
