Alter Bridge / Edge
First off, let me just say that this is purely speculation so don't read anything into it.
But I was just watching WWE Raw, watching Edge vs. Randy Orton... and I got to thinking. The Tremonti's are good friends with Adam Copeland ("Edge"), and he's had the same theme music since he first started in WWE like, what, probably 4-5 years ago at least? Now, knowing about the relationship between Tremonti and Copeland, plus the promotion that WWE gave to Creed when My Sacrifice was coming out (all the "My Sacrifice" highlight deals that they did with various wrestlers)... I could see Edge using the new AB single whenever it comes out.

That's a terrible idea. WWE, though, could play Alterbridge's single during the commercials for their next pay-per-view event. They've done it before for artists.
If I'm not mistaken, didn't WWF (that's what they were called back then) help promote Creed? During Sunday Night Heat, they would play songs from various artists and include album information.

Yep, WWE/F has a history of using Wind-Up bands for their "official song" of different PPV's. That's where I first learned of Drowning Pool and Evanesence.

he used Rob Zombie's "Never Gonna Stop" from late 2001 till after the first week he returned. For some reason they went back to his old theme after the first week. Probably because they have to pay Rob a certain amount of money to use the song. They are probably working on a new song for him or atleast a new remix (like they've done with Jericho's the past few years), but in the mean time they are just using "You Think You Know Me". It would be cool to use an AlterBridge song if it fit with his character otherwise just stick with a WWE original. That or have AB record a song specifically for him, like Our Lady Peace did for Chris Benoit and Disturbed did for Stone Cold

WWE were using Young Grow Old for commercials or a PPV or something onces ... then they used My Sacrifice as a little promo for the WWE (which was done very well I might add).

yeah Young Grow Old was the theme of Backlash 2002, they also used Weathered for a video of WWE superstars performing in Iraq for the troops

That would be cool if Edge did use Alter Bridge's single, but I don't see that happening just because they are close friends. But you never know, it could happen, that would be great.

I think it'd be cook if he used an AB song. Since hstill has t, his music has changed a bit, but still has that "you think you know me" theme to it.
WWE has also used SHWM for some things as well as Weathered. And, that comment about WWE using W-U bands for a lot of stuff... I recently noticed that Slow Chemical by Finger Eleven is Kane's music. H-D

Yeah, I noticed that too when I first heard the song. I don't like that riff, though. It's a rip-off of Kane's theme.

It's not really a rip-off though, the whole point of them doing that song was to re-work Kane's theme into a new song. That's where the Disturbed version of Stone Cold's theme, and all those other songs came from -- WWF Forceable Entry is the name of the CD, and some of the wrestlers adopted those remixes as their new theme music.
