What is everyone listening to?
With no new material expected from the boys for a while, what is everyone listening to in their absence? I have to say Weathered is still getting a fair hammering in my CD player but recently i have been listening to bands like Audioslave, Coldplay, Lifehouse and others.
I've also been listening to people like Tom McRae and The Electric Soft Parade who my American friends unfortunately wouldn't have heard of (i don't think). Oh and Badly Drawn Boy is probably Britain's best kept secret, he is an AMAZING songwriter who produces some of the best, most innovative, heartfelt music i have ever heard. Definately worth investigating.

I've hardly heard of any of the bands you boys listen to - well i know Sterofuse and Gobsmack have got songs on Scorpian King but apart from that bands like that don't get a mention over here (UK). Are they big in the US? What kind of stuff do they play?

Ive had my 3 Filter cds in on random play for about a week now.
God Damn Me is such a good song! And Badly Drawn Boy is NOT a secret, he's quite big here, I was at his show a little while ago, it was quite good. I don't really care for his soundtrack songs, but his CD stuff is great. (you can edit your post if you make a mistake, just hit the little link saying "Edit" Under the user info in your post) |

Really enjoy 3DD. And souldancer, this summer we're going to see The Eagles (which I WANT to see) and The Dead (which I am only seeing because I am a good, caring, loving wife who's getting a wonderful dinner out of the deal!).

You are so lucky! They are coming to Dallas in June, but its like $75 for nosebleed sections! If I had the money, I'd go in a heart beat, I want to hear Hotel Califnoria live, that would kick some ass! As for what I'm listening to, I've been listening to Weathered a lot, along with some Lifehouse, and a bit of Swing music. Oh and my favorite, Frank Sinatra. ________ Novana Residence Condo Pattaya Last edited by Marty : 09-17-2011 at 12:42 PM. |

I don't know if you were referring to just Steve or me too since I mentioned those bands, but I am a girl LOL Godsmack is pretty big here in the US, they have 3 cd's out now, all great and they are hard rock. Stereofuse isn't as heavy, more like Matchbox 20 maybe, and I believe they only have 1 cd out so they aren't real big yet. Good music though. Rose |

I've been listening to my Creed bootlegs, but aside from that, you all know Jerry Cantrell and Alice In Chains are in the rotation .
I've also been listening to Dust For Life (new for me, and I REALLY like them), Led Zeppelin, Audioslave, Cold, Coldplay, The Beatles (Revolver is my favorite ), Pearl Jam and old Metallica.

All of Creed's albums, B-sides and stuff like that. Acoustic versions.
But apart from creed...U2 and Pearl Jam...i just realised how amazing both of these bands are. I listen to the radio every now and then, but not like i used to. That's pretty much it

Re: What is everyone listening to
What's up with Mad At Gravity? The lead singer's gone and I think one of the guitar players left. Are they still together? I saw them twice open for Jerry Cantrell, but I can't say I liked them too much.
