Don't worry about it Colin, it will happen when you least expect it. I've been rejected plenty of times, only not by guys I hardly knew, instead they were boyfriends I was very attached to. But I would not be where I am if that had not happened, so I'm grateful. I wouldn't go back to one of them in a million years.
