Not my first but my first on here!

I've been writing for a long time but have never posted one of my poems so here it goes. let me know if you like it:

Help me,
I'm stuck inside.
Here in the darkness,
With nowhere to hide.
Feeling alone,
Despite all who are near.
Screaming out loud,
But my words are unclear.
I feel the chains that bind me,
I feel the cold bars of my cage.
Trapped in my prison,
With uncontrollable rage.
I can't see a light,
I don't hear a sound.
Looking for my freedom,
But, it's nowhere to be found.
Trying to cut through,
All these feelings of pain.
Hoping you'll come soon,
And it wasn't all in vane.
My time is now over,
I can see you now.
Hoping it's not too late,
Wanting to know how.
To escape from my prison,
To no longer fear.
To love myself,
And all who are near.

Hope you all like it. It's a little dark but all me!

Yeah,it is a little dark but it's what I felt at the time I wrote it
