Windows XP
I was wondering... if thereīs some software or skin to make previous windows look like XP... XPīs interface is much better!
But Iīm not buying it...to expensive. Iīll keep with Win ME ... well, I could get a pirate copy, but probably Uncle Bill would bite my ass and f*** my puter... I think... can they do that?

1 - upgrade, even if you have to pirate it or you can wait a few months till microsoft releases "longhorn"
2 - get the fuck off winME. winME is the bastard child of all OS's. if there was ever a legitamite reason to bring charges against Bill Gates, winME would take be enough to give him the chair. NO ONE sells ME winME anymore... winME should be locked in the basement with grandma and yer evil twin... 3 - winXP IMO is the best thing to come out of the win2000 platform. XP is the same 2000 just with a more user friendly look and approach (altough it looks a bit to "fisherprice-ish" to me) and alot better networking capabilities. win98 may have broken the mold, but XP is the best of the new OS's 4 - backwards compatability, you can run OLD programs on here without having to upgrade for the XP level. alot of people still use old programs, with XP you can run yer old with yer new. 5 - Remote Assistance. i KNOW alot of you will put this feature to good use. remote assistance lets you give complete control of you computer (winXP only) to any person that you choose (must have XP) so lets say you have a problem, just ask the person for help and they will take care of it from thier computer. so lets say you live in bulgaria and you use winXP Pro. you have some old drivers that are crashing your system. just ask yer ol computer geek friend in texas for help using the remote assistance feature and he will take care of it from there. no need to take it to the store and pay someone else, no need to wait for 3 hours while some drop out puts you on hold o he can smoke a blunt.

cool!
but Iīve been told XP pirate make MS block your system or whatsoever I didnīt get... and I installed 98 instead of ME, but 98 didnīt work... it froze up all the time and blocked internet, coz it didnīt recognize by net board, so I installed ME and everything worked...

I'm with Mullet on this one. I hated winMe. It crashed a ton on and I never knew when it was going to crash. XP is much better.

What the hell have you been smoking?!?!??! (j/k heh) It should be against the law to use the words winME and stable in the same sentence. It's documented that winME isn't stable. Just check out Microsoft help boards!!

you dont do alot of high end stuff do you? if you do not take advantage of the full OS then its just like anything else, which is prolly why yers runs fine. if you have the original version of winXP, like i do, then you need SP1 for it to run perfectly.

I've had XP for a year or two (it came on my comp) and I HATE IT! I like the way 98, ME, and 2000 work much better. I have this one problem sometimes where it's given me this Unmountable Boot Volume thing, and I need to use this program I ordered from the comp company to get it back. It's a major pain.

Maybe it isn't so much the software... as the hardware...
Ever think of that H-D?
