It did signify something.

Yeh it was in the Guitar magazine, CREEDS GREATEST MYSTERY, its all in there... it is about a cave symbol or somehting ...

I've researched this until I've been blue in the face. I came across something that said it meant "peace," but I have yet to confirm anything. The closest thing I've ever found is this:

DAZ: I know you don't want to give out the meaning of the crest as of yet, but I am trying to do some research on my own. Is the crest, of Cherokee, Lakota, or Chippewa descent? I have looked on multiple web sites and books, and can't find it any wheres, however, I have heard it is Cherokee for friendship. Thinkin' of that third tatt already, and just don't wanna take the plunge unless I know the meaning. And what is your second tattoo of?

Scott Stapp: Keep searching! You're getting warm...

It's a great tat either way!! Here's the address to the article:

http://www.creednet.com/band/qanda/11_10_2001.html

There used to be an address for a guy who kept all the tats online, but I couldn't get it to work today. You can try again if you'd like though:

So far what I've read it's an old indian symbol that means peace or friendship. I think it would be a great tattoo.

Where is that going to be? Will you get a chance to be up close and personal with them? I have seen them many times and haven't been able to get close at all. Be gentle in your approach so not to offend. I don't think Mark is too keen on Creed at all.
I seen them last week in FL. I hope their performance is better for you. I was disappointed

Ditto. I'd also suggest asking Stapp when he tours, although I have heard that he is not always easy to approach before/after concerts. Still worth a try, though.

if i had to guess, i'd say the crest might have been something stapp contributed in some way, and he seems pretty guarded about alot of that "secret" stuff ("hidden" voices in certain songs, etc.), so I imagine that if Flip, Tru, or Brian knows what it means, they'd be better to approach.

nah, they don't really mind answering questions about creed for fans...at least they don't show it if they do. they'll even sign creed cd's...though i wouldn't have them sign just a creed cd, i'd bring an alter bridge cd too.

Yeah - in fact they joke about Creed stuff when I had them sign my license plate that says "CREED" on it. Flip said "Can I write sucks after 'Creed'?" hehe
